SENATE AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2082

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. Title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-118, to read:
15-118. Recess; exception
a. Each school district and charter school shall provide at least one recess period during the school day for pupils in kindergarten programs and grades one through five. This section does not apply to middle schools, junior high schools, high schools, schools where the lowest grade of instruction offered is grade five OR FOR Arizona Online Instruction.
b. a school district or charter school is not required to extend the school day as part of meeting the requirements of subsection a of this section."
