AN ACT
amending title 41, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding chapter 53; regarding electronic documents.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 41, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding chapter 53, to read:
CHAPTER 53
ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS
ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
41-5251. Electronic documents; definition
A. Notwithstanding any other law, if a statute or rule requires a person to submit a report, audit or application or any other documentation to any agency, the person may submit the report, audit, application or other documentation to the agency electronically.
b. Any agency that requires a person to submit a report, audit or application or any other documentation shall provide a method on the agency's website for the person to submit the report, audit, application or other documentation electronically.
C. For the purposes of this section, "agency" has the same meaning prescribed in section 41‑2952.
Sec. 2. Effective date
This act is effective from and after June 30, 2018.
