AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
·
Removes
the requirement that accredited procurement organizations comply with DHS-adopted
rules relating to continuing employee education programs, as these programs do
not exist.
·
Requires
an accredited procurement organization to provide a designated area for tissue
recovery that does not operate in a funeral establishment for the recovery of
whole bodies for medical research and education.
·
Adds
additional requirements of unaccredited procurement organizations, making the
requirements consistent with accredited procurement organizations.

Between lines 8 and 9, insert:

(d) The
proper documentation and disclosure of the disease status of tissue specimens
to end users.
(e) Labeling,
packaging, transport and distribution policies and procedures.
(f) Final
disposition procedures."
