AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
Requires the Surface Transportation Task Force to conduct
a statewide survey in consultation and cooperation with the Arizona Department
of Administration in order to identify vacant and underused buildings owned by
the state that could be sold to generate funding for transportation projects.
Appropriates $250,000 in FY 2016 to conduct this study and exempts the appropriation
from lapsing at the close of the fiscal year. Includes the Arizona Department
of Administration in agencies that may provide staff support to the task force.

A. The sum of $250,000 is
appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2015-2016 to the
department of administration to conduct the study required by section 1,
subsection F, paragraph 7 of this act. The department shall conduct the study
in consultation and cooperation with the surface transportation funding task
force.
B. The appropriation made
in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section
35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations."
