HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2190

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:

"Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 1, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-186, to read:

START_STATUTE15-186.  New charter schools; location restriction

A.  A charter school that is established after December 31, 2015 may not be located within five miles of a school that has been assigned a letter grade of A or B pursuant to section 15‑241 within the previous three years.

B.  Subsection A of this section does not apply to any charter school that was established before January 1, 2016." END_STATUTE
