• Clarifies that the creation of a transportation safety zone cannot impose or authorize additional permitting or licensing requirements for vehicles-for-hire beyond those required by the Department of Weights And Measures.

Page 1, line 6, strike, “NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW,”

Line 20, after the period insert “a transportation safety zone may not include any portion of a state highway or state route.”

Page 2, between lines 12 and 13, insert:

“F. THIS SECTION does not IMPOSE OR AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL PERMITTING OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED BY TITLE 41, CHAPTER 15.”
