FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

Decreases appropriation to Capitol Mall security system from the Capital outlay stabilization fund (COSF) by $3 million.

 

Increases Department of Administration building renewal monies from COSF from $5.4 million to $9 million, and requires ADOA to allocate monies to state agencies for necessary building renewal.

 

Stipulates that if COSF funds are insufficient to fund building renewal, the ADOA appropriation shall be reduced by the difference between the amount appropriated to ADOA from COSF and the balance in COSF.

Between lines 20 and 21, insert:

"The department of administration shall allocate the monies to state agencies for necessary building renewal.  If monies in the capital outlay stabilization fund are insufficient to fund the appropriation to the department of administration for building renewal, the appropriation to the department of administration shall be reduced by the difference between the amount appropriated to the department of administration from the capital outlay stabilization fund and the balance in the capital outlay stabilization fund."
