FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

 

            The Yee Floor Amendment to SB 1205 excludes inmates serving a natural life sentence from having to save extra funds for their release as required by the bill.  The cap on a dedicated discharge account for an inmate serving a natural life sentence would therefore remain at $50 instead of being raised to $100.
