AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-548; relating to the certification and employment of teachers.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-548, to read:

START_STATUTE15-548.  Collective bargaining agreements; automatic transfers; prohibition

A governing board shall not enter into a collective bargaining agreement that requires the school district to transfer or reassign a certificated teacher who was employed at a school within the school district during the previous school year to a different school within that school district during the next school year.  END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Saving clause

This act does not affect any collective bargaining agreement executed by a school district before the effective date of this act.
