AN ACT

 

amending title 36, chapter 4, article 2.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36‑435.01; relating to hospital staff privileges.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 36, chapter 4, article 2.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-435.01, to read:

START_STATUTE36-435.01.  Staff privileges; physicians; outpatient surgical centers

The governing board of each health care institution classified by the director as a hospital pursuant to section 36‑405, subsection B shall provide the use of the hospital by, and staff privileges for, any physician who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 13 or 17 and who has not had any disciplinary action against the physician's license regardless of whether the physician is a member of a professional employment arrangement that provides services to patients in an outpatient surgical center.
