AN ACT

 

amending Title 1, chapter 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 4; relating to government publications.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 1, chapter 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 4, to read:

ARTICLE 4.  GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS

START_STATUTE1-261.  Government publications; English only; exception

A.  Any publication, document or material, including voting materials, that are issued or disseminated to the public by an agency of this state or a political subdivision of this state shall be written in English.

B.  An agency of this state or a political subdivision of this state may issue or disseminate a publication, document or material in a language other than English if the publication, document or material is posted on a government internet website and a printed copy is available in the state agency's or political subdivision agency's office.
