AN ACT

 

providing for development of guidelines on the use of medical helicopters.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Medical helicopters; nontrauma patients; guidelines

On or before January 1, 2012, the director of the department of health services, in consultation with the medical direction commission and the emergency medical services council, shall develop guidelines on the appropriate use of medical helicopters for nontrauma patients.  The department shall distribute these guidelines to all emergency receiving facilities in this state.
