AN ACT
amending section 15‑1474, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to community college districts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 15-1474, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
15-1474. Community college bookstore and private‑public partnership revenue; expenditure limitation; penalty
Notwithstanding section 41‑1279.07, if a community college district exceeds its expenditure limitation prescribed in article IX, section 21, Constitution of Arizona, due to the expenditure of revenues from amounts received from retail transactions at bookstores operated by a community college district, the community college district shall not have any state aid pursuant to section 15-1466 withheld and the penalty for a violation of this section shall be one hundred dollars resulting from either of the following:
1. The expenditure of revenues from amounts received from retail transactions at bookstores operated by the community college district.
2. Any amounts received by the community college district during a fiscal year as revenue derived from a public‑private partnership agreement entered into by the district.
