AN ACT
Amending section 35‑113.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to federal monies.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 35-113.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
35-113.01. Request for federal monies
A. All state agencies, boards, commissions and departments budget units shall submit to the department of administration and the joint legislative budget committee for acknowledgment, copies of all agreements, and contracts and copies of all applications and requests for federal funds monies, to be used for any purpose.
B. Every state agency, board, commission or department budget unit seeking federal funds monies for any project or program shall furnish to the department of administration with each copy of an application or request a statement of the purposes for which any such project or program is desired or advocated, the source and amount of funds monies to be granted or provided therefor, and a statement of the conditions, if any, upon which such funds the monies are to be provided. The director may at his discretion accept from the state agency, board, commission or department budget unit a summary of the information required in this section.
C. All departments, agencies, boards or commissions, Budget units shall forward an acknowledgment to the department of administration upon receipt of federal funds monies.
D. In addition to the information submitted to the joint legislative budget committee pursuant to subsection A, the governor's office and each budget unit annually shall submit to the joint legislative budget committee detailed information regarding all federal monies received in the current fiscal year and any state matching requirements for receipt or expenditure of those monies. Each budget unit shall also submit detailed information on caseloads for each population for which the federal monies are intended to provide services and a five‑year summary of historical caseload information on each population.
