HB 2779 – HELD BY CHAIRMAN
HCM 2013, HB 2443, HB 2587 – C&P (7-0-0-3)
The Chairman announced that HB 2751 and HB 2779 will not be heard.
Vice-Chairman Barto moved that HB 2001, HB 2102, HB 2106, HB 2178, HB 2291, HB 2320, HB 2339, HB 2382, HB 2407, HB 2476, HB 2503, HB 2608, HB 2612, HB 2693, HB 2694, HB 2758, HB 2773, HCM 2013, HB 2443 and HB 2587 are constitutional and in proper form.
Jim Drake, Rules Attorney, stated it is the opinion of the Rules Counsel that the measures are constitutional and in proper form. It is noteworthy that the S/E amendment to HB 2443 presented two issues for constitution discussion perhaps, but a Floor amendment fixes both the problems. One was an anti-abrogation immunity provision and the other was a VLT provision.
The motion carried by a roll call vote of 7-0-0-3 (Attachment 1).
Without objection, the meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
