Chairman Crandell called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. and attendance was noted.
Discussion of Performance Outcomes
Senator Allen distributed "Keep it Simple – Keep it Basic" (Attachment A) and explained her ideas for school funding. Discussion was held on options and qualifications for outcome-based education funding.
Presentation and Discussion of Proposed Funding Model -
Steve Schimpp, Joint Legislative Budget Committee Staff, distributed "K-12 Funding – Current versus Crandell draft proposal" (Attachment B) and explained current funding formulas. Mr. Schimpp discussed Representative Crandell's proposal and possible options. He answered questions posed by the Committee and discussion was held.
The Committee agreed on the date of November 18 for the next meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
