CoChair Johnson called the meeting to order at 9:14 a.m. and attendance was noted.

PRESENTATIONS
Christina Estes-Werther, Senate Judiciary Analyst, distributed “Community Notification Guidelines Committee, October 23, 2007” (Attachment A) and explained the purpose and history of the Committee.
Patty Morris, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Sex Offender Compliance Team, explained the use and validity of the State of Arizona Risk Assessment. She explained the requirements of the Adam Walsh Act and that Arizona takes the effort even farther.
Ms. Houde distributed copies of “Arizona State Senate Issue Paper” (Attachment B) and explained that it contains some very useful information on the subjects of sex offender registration and notification.
The Committee discussed the issues and decided on a course for the next meeting in approximately six weeks.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:14 a.m.
