State Energy Code Advisory Commission
PURPOSE: To review and make recommendations regarding the State Energy Code, including any changes to the Code and perform cost benefit analyses of potential State incentives for the use of energy saving devices and methods. The Commission shall submit an annual report by December 31 to the Governor, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Director of the Department of Commerce or its successor, the Chair of the Senate Government Committee or its successor committee, the Chair of the House Committee on Energy Utilities and Technology or its successor committee and the Director of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. The report shall contain a review of and recommendations regarding the State Energy Code.

Notes: The members of the State Energy Code Advisory Commission shall serve three-year terms and shall annually elect one of its members to serve as Chair. Members are eligible for reimbursement of expenses. The Department of Commerce Energy Office shall provide staff support to the State Energy Code Advisory Commission. Notwithstanding A.R.S. 41-1411, the initial terms of members are: (1) four terms ending January 1, 2003; (2) four terms ending January 1, 2004; (3) five terms ending January 1, 2005. The appointing authority shall make all subsequent appointments as prescribed by statute.
