Kirk Adams is an Arizona native and small business owner. Adams served as Chairman of the Arizona Leadership Council for the National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s largest small business advocacy group. He is a dedicated advocate of small business. Through his involvement with the Arizona chapter of NFIB, and other organizations, he has demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm to the issues that are important to families and small business owners.

 

In addition, he served as the small business representative on the Governor’s Task Force for the Health Care System from 2002-2004. He was also elected by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to the Board of Directors of the Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority — an independent agency that facilitates tax-exempt bonds for affordable housing and economic development. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mesa United Way.

 

Adams was awarded the 2003 Arizona Small Business Champion by the NFIB, and won the Small Business Administration’s 2004 "Family Owned Business of the Year" for Region IX, which encompasses Arizona, California, and Nevada.

 

In addition to these activities, Mr. Adams served as Chairman of the District 19 Republican Committee from 2002-2004. He also served on the City of Mesa’s, Mesa 2025: Financing the Future Committee, and was appointed by Senate President Ken Bennett to the Maricopa Associations of Government (MAG) Transportation Policy Review Board.

 

Adams’ family roots in Arizona extend four generations deep. He was raised in Mesa and graduated from Mountain View High School. Adams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife JaNae have five children.
