Personal Information:

Doug is a native of Arizona.  He was born in Prescott and then resided in Black Canyon and later moved Phoenix where he now lives with his family.  He has been married for 20 years to his wife Michelle and together they have two sons, Travis (17) and Tanner(15).  Doug’s hobbies include golfing, soccer, hiking, swimming and traveling.  In fact his travels have taken him to more than 50 countries.  Doug believes that it is these travels, along with having lived a decade in other countries, that gives him a unique perspective and appreciation for the United States.  As a legislator Doug has served in six committees, among them Homeland Security & Property Rights, Education, Higher Education, Water & Agriculture, Appropriations and Sub-Appropriations: Education & Natural Resources. When not serving in the Legislature, Doug is a successful Real Estate Agent and as a result of his hard work has received numerous sales and service awards.
