Senator Robert Meza was elected to his first term in the Arizona State Senate in 2010. Prior to his election as a State Senator, Robert served four terms in the Arizona House of Representatives serving Legislative District 14. Currently, Robert sits on four standing committees: Banking and Insurance, Commerce and Energy, Economic Development and Jobs Creation, and Border Security, Federalism and States Sovereignty.

Outside of the State Legislature, Robert is the business development director for AGUILA Youth Leadership Institute. AGUILA is a unique institution that guides and assists young adults in pursuing academic and professional opportunities. AGUILA has achieved great success since its founding in 2004 and now graduates students from the most prestigious universities nationwide.

Robert earned a bachelorís degree from the University of Notre Dame and continues to be a strong proponent of affordable education throughout Arizona. Robert also focuses his legislative efforts on social issues such as affordable health care, immigration, and equality of opportunity regardless of race, sex and economic class.
