Representative Bob Robson is Speaker Pro Tempore at the Arizona Legislature and also serves on the Rules Committee and the Insurance Committee. Bob has represented the people of the southeast valley in the Arizona Legislature since January 2001 -- taking two years off (2009 -2010) due to term limits. He is a Professor of Practice in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. Bob owned and operated a Farmer's Insurance Agency for 34 years.

During his service in the House of Representatives, Bob Robson was Speaker Pro Tempore, Chairman of the House Rules Committee and Employment & Regulatory Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Environment Committee, Financial Institutions & Insurance Committee, Judiciary Committee and Appropriations. He also chaired the Ethics Committee for four years and served on the Commerce Committee, along with other duties as assigned by the Speaker.

Bob Robson served 8 years on the Chandler City Council and was elected by his peers as Vice Mayor. Civic memberships have included: the Greater Phoenix Economic Council Strategic Policy Committee, Planning & Zoning Commission, Neighborhood Preservation & Revitalization Study Committee, Salvation Army, Past President of the Chandler Kiwanis Club, founding member of the Chandler Boys & Girls Club, member of the Chandler Airport Commission, Chairman of the Maricopa County Sports Commission, and Chairman of the Arizona Auto Theft Authority.

Representative Robson feels the budget, education, and public safety are the top responsibilities of state government. He has a proven record of support for public safety officers and higher education.
